Accume Partners names James B. McGuire president and COO

NEW YORK-- (BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 13, 2006--Accume Partners, a leading provider of internal auditing, IT internal auditing, Sarbanes-Oxley compliance, and related risk management services, has named James B. McGuire to the new position of President and Chief Operating Officer. McGuire will take on management of company operations, including business unit operations, infrastructure, and human capital development. He will report to John F. White, who will continue as CEO.

Prior to joining Accume Partners, McGuire was President and CEO of UHY Advisors, where he successfully led the repositioning of UHY. Previously, he spent more than two decades with KPMG Consulting, holding key management and leadership positions, including CEO of KPMG Consulting's U.S. business. He was appointed the first global leader of KPMG Consulting's worldwide business in 1999, and was instrumental in the 2001 IPO and conversion of KPMG Consulting's global brand to BearingPoint. McGuire started his career at KPMG (formerly, Peat Marwick) in New York City, where he spent his initial years in the auditing practice.

McGuire has extensive experience in leading organizational growth for accounting, auditing, and business consulting practices. He was designated as one of the "Top 100 Most Influential Accountants" by Accounting Today magazine in 2004, and was named as one of the "Top 25 Most Influential Consultants" by Consulting magazine in 1997. He frequently speaks at conferences about current trends in the accounting and consulting industries.

McGuire lives in Greenwich, Conn., with his wife and two children and has been involved in many community service organizations, including serving as president of the Stamford Chamber Orchestra. He holds a bachelor of business administration degree in accounting from the University of Notre Dame.
