Accume Partners, a risk management and business advisory firm — specializing in governance, compliance, internal audit, operations management, and IT consulting services — announced that its Board of Directors has elected James B. McGuire as Chief Executive Officer. Mr. McGuire succeeds John White, the company’s founding CEO.

McGuire joined Accume Partners as President and COO last September to manage the firm’s
day-to-day activities. His new and expanded CEO role includes a seat on the company’s Board of Directors, and responsibility for the entire operation, including business unit operations,
profitability, infrastructure, sales and marketing, and human capital development.

“Jim McGuire is a top-notch leader who has challenged all of us at Accume Partners over the
past year, reinforcing our core business and taking the firm into new, strategic endeavors,” said John Palmer, Managing Director and a member of the company’s Board of Directors. “The vision for our future is exciting, and I am extremely enthusiastic about the company’s innovation and growth potential under his leadership.”

Providing some insight on the company’s future, McGuire explained, “We are a leading-edge firm of great integrity with a legacy of focus and discipline. I am thrilled to assume the helm at Accume Partners and look forward to expanding the company and raising our visibility. With our talent, entrepreneurial culture, service suite, and strong track record, Accume Partners is ideally suited to leverage the substantial growth potential in the services sector. I can’t imagine a more exciting time or place to apply my experience. I look forward to continue working with our leadership team and our Board to advance our strategic initiatives.”

McGuire has spent the vast majority of his career with KPMG where he held various leadership
roles. In 1997, he was appointed CEO and Vice Chairman of KPMG Consulting (U.S.), and was
subsequently selected as the first CEO of KPMG’s Global Consulting practice. Jim was
instrumental in leading KPMG Consulting’s worldwide practice through an unprecedented growth cycle, its 2001 IPO, and ultimately conversion of its global brand to BearingPoint in 2003.

He later joined UHY Advisors as President and CEO where he was responsible for repositioning
the company from a regional firm to a global brand with a plan for long-term sustainable growth.

McGuire was selected as one of the Top Ten Most Influential Consultants in 1998 and one of the Top 100 Accountants in 2004, distinguishing him as the only individual selected by both
professions – an achievement which has not been duplicated. He holds a Bachelor of Business
Administration in Accounting from the University of Notre Dame, and lives in Greenwich, CT, with his wife and two children.
