Since its inception, the Mendoza Graduate Alumni Board has played a key role in promoting the College, providing insights into the ever changing business world, and making recommendations about future programs. The board continues to reach for new ways to help the College more fully realize its mission, having recently taken on a new project to help with fundraising for the new Integral Leadership Development program, launching as part of the MBA program next year.
This December, the board’s application process is opening for interested graduate business alumni to submit their names for consideration. “Being asked to sit on the board and help serve the business school in various ways has helped me to forge a bond to the university beyond the academic and classroom experiences I had as a student.” says Andrew Kahl EMBA ’11, recently elected to chair the Graduate Alumni Board. “Moreover, I've been fortunate to work with incredibly bright people and develop friendships and working relationships outside of my professional career.” There are eight available positions.
As newly elected chair, Andrew's role will be to unite the board behind special projects and to help foster deeper connections between Mendoza and the College's graduate alumni. "My role is to continue to build on the solid foundation that has been built by my predecessors and fellow board members. I believe that I need to be a steward for the graduate alumni, and develop a comprehensive strategy along with my peers that will help the board evolve to the next level as one that adds value to the alumni base and has an impactful relationship with the graduate business school."
The Board is made up of alumni from each of our graduate degree programs, spanning geography and decades of graduation. Board members serve three year terms, and come to campus twice a year for one day meetings, in addition to working on other ad hoc projects throughout the year. If you are interested in applying for the Board and contributing to the mission of the College, please visit the Mendoza Graduate Alumni Board webpage. The application will be available until December 7.
