Biography

Tracy Knox teaches The Legal Environment of Business.  He is a partner in Barnes & Thornburg LLP's South Bend, Indiana, office. He practices in the Litigation Department and handles product liability, commercial and real estate litigation matters. 

Mr. Knox received a B.S. in international affairs in 1984 from the United States Military Academy at West Point. In 1991, he was awarded his J.D. by Notre Dame Law School, graduating summa cum laude. He served on the Notre Dame Law Review and was awarded the Dean Joseph O’Meara Award for outstanding academic achievement.

He is a ten-year Army veteran.  Following graduation from law school, Mr. Knox resumed active duty service with the U.S. Army's Judge Advocate General's Corps as a paratrooper at Ft. Bragg, North Carolina.  He also worked for a Detroit, Michigan, product liability litigation law firm prior to joining Barnes & Thornburg in 1995.   

Mr. Knox has been recognized each of the past five years by The Best Lawyers in America for his work in commercial litigation.
