The Thomas H. Quinn Lecture is an annual event established to honor the Notre Dame alumnus and former member of Mendoza College of Business Business Advisory Council member. Quinn earned a bachelor’s degree in economics from Notre Dame in 1969, and was a football monogram winner and member of the 1966 national championship team. He was a managing partner and member of the Investment Committee and Management Committee of private investment firm The Jordan Company (TJC), as well as the president and chief operating officer of Chicago-based Jordan Industries Inc. Quinn passed away April 29, 2016, at the age of 68.

The Center for Ethics and Religious Values in Business is hosting the 2017 Frank Cahill Lecture in Business Ethics and the Rev. Theodore M. Hesburgh, C.S.C. Award.

The Cahill Lecture, which will be a panel discussion on ethical issues faced by recent business school graduates, will be followed by the Rev. Theodore M. Hesburgh, C.S.C. Award. Cummins, Inc. (acceptance by Tom Linebarger, Chairman and CEO of Cummins, Inc.) will be honored with the Rev. Theodore M. Hesburgh, C.S.C. Award.

Lecture is free and open to the public.

Major General Seamands assumed his current assignment as the Commanding General of U.S. Army Human Resources Command in June 2015. He earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Management from the University of Dayton and was commissioned through the ROTC program into the Adjutant General’s Corps. He is a graduate of the AG Officer Basic Course, AG Officer Advanced Course, and the Army Command and General Staff College. He attained a Master of Science Degree in Management from Webster University, was the Army’s Leadership and Management Fellow at the John F. Kennedy School of Government, Harvard University and a Fellow at MIT’s Seminar XXI: Foreign Politics, International Relations and the National Interest.

Lecture is free and open to the public.
