A Message from Notre Dame President Rev. John I. Jenkins, CSC

A Message to Our Incoming & Returning Students

On Monday, May 18, the University of Notre Dame announced plans for re-opening the University for on-campus programs this fall.

As our students transition back to on-campus learning and student life, we remain committed to safeguarding the health and well-being of our students, faculty and staff.

We know many of our students are eager to hear about important topics such as orientation, housing, class schedules and more.

Our graduate program directors, faculty and staff are working diligently to provide these answers and will share updates about fall semester plans very soon. As these decisions are made, students will start to see program-related information in their Becoming Irish portal.

Despite the many disruptions and uncertainties of these past months, it is a great time to join Notre Dame. The world needs leaders with global perspectives who understand the power of business to bring about positive change.

We’re excited to welcome you aboard.
Go Irish!

Campus Re-Opening Statement

Yes. The College encourages anyone interested in enrolling in our programs for the 2020-21 academic year to submit an application.

It is only necessary to complete your portion of the application: personal essay, résumé, statement of purpose, and PowerPoint slides.

We will begin evaluating your application upon submission and will make admissions decisions on the same time frame as before.

Our admissions team is still available to answer your questions and provide guidance during this time:

  • For all residential graduate program application questions, please call 574-631-8488
to speak to a member of the admissions team.
  • If you’ve applied to – or are interested in – non-degree Executive Education programs, please call 574-631-5285 or email executive.business@nd.edu with any questions you may have.

We encourage you to submit an application, regardless of your current GMAT/GRE testing status.

We will begin to evaluate your application for admission at the time it is submitted, and will follow up with you regarding test requirements.

  • ETS is temporarily offering an at-home GRE® testing option in select areas. Learn More.
  • The Graduate Management Admissions Council (GMAC) will begin to offer an interim GMAT™ exam starting mid-April. Learn More.

We will not be scheduling in-person admission interviews at this time. All applicant interviews will be conducted via Zoom until further notice.

Mendoza’s Admissions team continues to support students through the visa process.

We plan to issue I-20s to admitted students as normal, so you are prepared with the necessary documents to schedule a visa appointment when consulates reopen.

Over the summer, we will collect information about where you are in the visa process and follow up with next steps.

Official statements and information from the University of Notre Dame can be found at coronavirus.nd.edu.

Please note that information specific to Mendoza graduate business students will continue to be updated on this page.
