“Everything was frozen, and yet it all appeared so beautiful.”
Father Edward Sorin, C.S.C., a young priest from France, made this observation in the winter of 1842. He had reached the desolate tract of land where he would establish the University of Notre Dame and saw great promise: “This college will be one of the most powerful means of doing good in this country,” he pledged.
Father Sorin’s vision of doing good continues at the Mendoza College of Business through our mission to Ask More of Business™. In this season of reflection, we share 12 stories of giving that illustrate Sorin’s vision and promise that remain alive and real.
May the holiday season bring you blessings and renewal.
