Biography

Abhijit Marar is a PhD student in Analytics at the University of Notre Dame, working on empirical market design. He studies how market design policies work in practice, in the context of matching markets. His current research focuses on connected matching markets, where outcomes in one market shape agents’ opportunities in the next. He studies how these connections affect the design and performance of assignment mechanisms, and what they mean for agents’ outcomes.

Before joining the Analytics PhD program at Notre Dame, he worked in product management in the optics industry. He holds a PhD in Electrical Engineering from the University of Georgia, where his research focused on super-resolution microscopy and incoherent digital holography.
