Cynthia Cryder, Olin Business School at Washington University
Cynthia Cryder joined the faculty at the Olin Business School in 2009 after receiving her PhD in Behavioral Decision Research from Carnegie Mellon University. Her research examines consumer behavior and decision-making, with a special emphasis on prosocial behavior, the psychology of debt management, and the donor experience. More recent research has also focused on how social dynamics and reputational rewards influence incentivized behavior and consumer referrals.
Her work has been published in the Journal of Consumer Research, Journal of Marketing Research, Marketing Science, Organizational Behavior and Human Decision Processes, and Psychological Science. She currently serves on the Olin Doctoral Council and has been recognized with the Emerson Excellence in Teaching Award. She currently is a Professor of Marketing at the Olin Business School.
