Student Life

The Global Executive MBA meets once per month Thursday through Saturday on the Notre Dame campus. This immersive two-year journey is centered on project-based learning within small teams, fostering opportunities to gain insights from the diverse perspectives and professional backgrounds of your fellow classmates.

You’ll be able to continue working during the off weeks and team up with a cohort of professionals for class. This cohort could include professionals from all types of backgrounds — engineers, entrepreneurs, attorneys, physicians, or non-profit executives, for example. The benefit to you is a new collective wisdom gained from drawing on each other’s experience and expertise.

These classmates will become your staunchest allies, your closest collaborators and a valuable source of academic, professional and personal support. You’ll also join the Notre Dame family. From the time you start classes, you’ll have the opportunity to attend networking events and connect with your local Notre Dame club to grow your connections. And as a Notre Dame student, you’ll have the opportunity to experience all that Notre Dame has to offer, from football games to world-renowned speakers and Mass at the Basilica.

Global EMBA Course of Study

The Global Executive MBA curriculum integrates multiple focus areas that together will provide you with new frameworks and strategies for tackling age-old business problems, responding to emerging challenges and seizing new opportunities.

Each step in the Global EMBA process builds upon the previous one to reinforce the three cornerstones of the program — leadership, fundamentals and strategy.

      • Step One: The Global EMBA begins with a focus on self during our August Executive Integral Leadership course, which is part of your orientation week and is known as “Now Irish.” This intensive, one-week exploration of your leadership style will teach you how to maximize the effectiveness of your particular strengths and skills.
      • Step Two: You’ll progress into coursework with Awareness, Decision Making, Integration, and Advanced Analysis. Additionally, you’ll have the opportunity to take part in an optional 3-credit course June International Immersion between Year 1 and Year 2, partnering with an international organization or company to solve a particular business problem.
      • Step Three:  The Global EMBA journey concludes with an International Immersion Capstone, which takes place abroad during the Spring Break of Year 2. This course serves as a culmination of the knowledge you’ve acquired during the preceding 20 months, concentrating on the impact of your business decisions on the broader global context.

Ultimately, you graduate with the skills to become a strategic leader with a holistic view of yourself and a global view of business.
