Creating mutually beneficial relationships

The Entrepreneurship Society at the University of Notre Dame, collaborating with the Small Business Development Center, provides free consultation to Michiana businesses that provide hands-on experience to the student.

More than 40 members of the E-Society, a non-credit voluntary group, work in teams with valuable energy and insight to solve problems posed by clients of the center. In its fourth year, the program has moved to a more intensive semester-long approach, replacing a yearlong relationship.

“They meet on their own time for no grade,” says Lauren Sullivan, who is project manager for the groups. “The business owner presents where their business is now and where they want to take their business.
