Marner Storage Technologies announces CEO

In another recent development, Marner Storage Technologies revealed it has named Stephen J. Carter as President and CEO. Carter has more than thirty years experience in the high-technology industry, with 25+ years in management. At both Imation and QLogic, Carter was a corporate officer with responsibilities for leading several $100M+ businesses in storage technology. Most recently, at QLogic, as VP and GM of the Switch Products Group, based in suburban Minneapolis, Carter had P&L responsibility for the fibre channel switch business and was responsible for product development, which included design and development of custom ASICs, hardware, firmware, software, product marketing, and operations. Previously, at Imation, as VP and GM of several business units, Carter had P&L responsibility for worldwide sales, marketing, and development for consumer storage products in addition to network storage products. During his 24 years at IBM, Carter held various positions in sales technical support, product development, and product marketing. He received his undergraduate degree in Business Management from the University of Notre Dame.
