Mendoza Tailgates Have Perfect Season

Make plans to attend 2013 Mendoza tailgates!

While the Notre Dame Fighting Irish football team may have ended the season with a record of 4-3 at home, the Mondoza College of Business had a perfect season.  At five of the seven tailgates over 1,000 alumni, faculty/staff, students, and guests spent time at Mendoza enjoying great food, catching up with friends, and spending time with family.

Each year, the Graduate Alumni Relations office welcomes back our alumni, their family and friends to spend an afternoon with current students, faculty, and staff.  You can feel the excitement for game time when you step through the courtyard, ND apparel surrounding you.  But more intense than the excitement is the feeling of camaraderie and family.

"Every time we attend a tailgate, we get to visit with classmates, but also, we meet with grads from other classes.   Sometimes these folks are older, more often they are younger, and we enjoy hearing their story and what brought them to ND.   In the car ride on the way home, my wife and I end up talking about the recent grads we met at the tailgate.  We are always impressed with the friendliness and quality of the younger alumni.  It makes me proud and glad I went to Notre Dame when I did.  If I waited a year or two, I wouldn't have been in the same league as some of the younger graduates." ~ Daniel Maus, MBA 1991

"I attended three tailgates at ND this football season and brought with me guests ranging in ages from 3 to 85 years old.  The food was excellent and we always appreciated that there would be something for everyone regardless of age and taste.  The area was well staffed and very clean, while continually stocked with quality food and drink."  ~ Will Bieber, EMBA 2009

We had 749 graduate alums, representing the four graduate programs (MBA, EMBA, MNA, MS Accountancy), join us for at least one game this season.  We hope to see you all again next year, and if you didn't make it out to see us this year, be sure to stop by in 2010.
