Notre Dame student’s Boston Marathon run is personal now

Published: April 17, 2016 / Author: Kathy Borlik, South Bend Tribune

When the Boston Marathon begins tomorrow, Elizabeth Sadler will have several things on her mind. She will be running her first marathon and she will be thinking of her father.

Elizabeth is a member of the Dana-Farber Marathon Challenge team for the 120th Boston Marathon. She along with 550 other team runners will run to raise $5.4 million for research.

It is a personal journey because she is running with her sister, Jennifer. They have both dedicated the marathon to their father, John Sadler, who died in January from kidney cancer.

Elizabeth is a MBA student from the University of Notre Dame and a native of Hingham, Mass.
