The chief executive officer of Wisconsin-based Johnsonville Sausage Co. is donating $20 million to the University of Notre Dame.

Ralph Stayer announced today that he was donating the money to his alma mater for the construction of a new building for executive education in the school’s Mendoza College of Business.

Notre Dame officials say the new center will increase significantly the university’s capacity to provide degree and non-degree executive programs and provide state-of-the-art classroom technology.

Notre Dame began its executive education program in 1980 to provide executive and management leaders the opportunity to develop and strengthen their leadership abilities and business skills.
