Huy Huynh (pronounced HWEE HWIN) is an associate teaching professor of IT, Analytics and Operations in the Mendoza College of Business at the University of Notre Dame, where he teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in business analytics. His main areas of interest include predictive analytics, time series forecasting, data science, online education, and educational pedagogy.
Before joining Mendoza, Huy served as an associate teaching professor in the Department of Applied and Computational Mathematics and Statistics at Notre Dame, where he chaired a multi-section undergraduate statistics class, supervised research projects for both undergraduate and Master students, and developed and taught both undergraduate and graduate classes. Notably, he built and taught online courses for the university’s first Online Master of Science in Data Science program.
Outside of teaching, Huy enjoys practicing Orange Theory Fitness, listening to personal finance podcasts and exploring the South Bend area with his wife and two young daughters.
Huy earned an A.S. in Computer Science from Georgia State University - Perimeter College, a B.S. in Mathematics from Kennesaw State University, a M.S. in Statistics and a Ph.D. in Mathematics from Georgia Institute of Technology.
