Kris Muir is an Assistant Teaching Professor in the Management & Organization Department. Kris currently teaches Business Problem Solving at the undergraduate level and serves as Academic Director for the new Online Master of Science in Management Program. Kris has taught graduate and undergraduate courses on entrepreneurship, leadership, decision making, sustainability, and course design.
Prior to joining Notre Dame, Kris served as Academic Director for the Master of Science in Business program at Mays Business School (Texas A&M) and led workshops for the Center for Executive Development Global Programs on teams, decision making, and coaching and mentoring.
The Hackensack, New Jersey, native holds degrees in History and Spanish as well as a master’s degree in Spanish with a focus on literature and a doctorate in Education with a focus on pedagogy. Before becoming a professor, he taught at the K-12 level and created two nonprofit youth programs in Atlanta, Georgia. Aside from his work at Notre Dame, Kris stays busy raising two girls with his wife, M&O Associate Professor Cindy Muir.
