- Biography
Alyona Nefedova graduated with summa cum laude from the Higher School of Economics in Moscow, where she majored in Math. Her thesis dealt with discovering a new link invariant using R-matrices, which is stronger than the known invariants in classifying certain links. Alyona explored trading models at the Center for Mathematical Finance, and assisted with cognitive science projects at the fMRI Lab. She previously taught middle school math and has works at Canada/USA Mathcamp.
