  • Biography

Dr. Daniel Schwake serves as director of Notre Dame Jerusalem, leading the center’s educational, research, and outreach initiatives. Schwake is also a professor of Management & Organization at the Mendoza College of Business. As a faculty member, Schwake also teaches in Notre Dame Jerusalem's various degree and non-degree programs. His thematic interest focuses on the overlap between management and ethics.

Schwake joined Notre Dame after a decade in consulting. He most recently served as principal (associate partner) at the strategy consulting firm Oliver Wyman. He worked across the globe, advising top executives of large corporations, regulators, and ministries. Dr. Schwake previously held a similar position with Deloitte and worked in asset management with Deutsche Bank.

He holds a B.Sc. and Diploma (M.Sc.) in business administration from the University of Münster and a doctorate in economics from the University of Duisburg-Essen, Germany.

Schwake speaks fluent English, German, Arabic, and Hebrew.
