Jason Reed is The Wade Family associate teaching professor, assistant department chair, and director of undergraduate studies in the Department of Finance. Reed’s research focuses the integration of behavioral economics in the field of macroeconomics and finance; his dissertation topic was “Mean-Square Stability and Adaptive Learning in Macroeconomic Models.” Honors and distinctions include the James Dincolo Outstanding Undergraduate Finance Professor (2018), GEOC Excellence in Teaching Award (2014), Lawrence Technical University Outstanding Instructor Award (2013), and Department of Economics Mendelson Award for Outstanding dissertation (2015). Reed teaches microeconomics and managerial economics to both undergraduate and graduate students in the Mendoza College of Business.
Reed earned a B.A. in art and design, as well as a B.S. in economics from Grand Valley State University. He earned his master’s degree and Ph.D. in economics from Wayne State University. Outside of the classroom, he is an avid traveler and still finds time to oil paint.
