Yadav Gopalan is an assistant professor of accountancy at the Mendoza College of Business. Yadav researches financial accounting, focusing on how stakeholders affect and shape financial reporting, disclosure, and governance in the financial services industry. Yadav’s research has been published in leading academic journals in accounting and finance, including The Accounting Review, the Journal of Accounting and Economics, and the Review of Finance. In the Mendoza College of Business, Yadav currently teaches Corporate Financial Reporting. In addition to his academic appointment at the Mendoza College of Business, Yadav is a visiting scholar at the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis, where he was a bank regulator before starting his academic career. Prior to joining Notre Dame, Yadav served on the faculty at the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University. He holds a M.S. and Ph.D. from Washington University in St. Louis and a B.S. from Michigan State University.
