Detroit Startup Ash & Erie Win $100K Investment at ‘Shark Tank’

Ash & Erie, formally Ash & Anvil, pitched on Shark Tank airing this weekend and won over investor and entrepreneur Mark Cuban. Cuban invested $150K in the Detroit based startup.
Ash & Erie make clothing for shorter guys, specifically focusing on a niche of men 5′ 8″ and under. The company started with their line of what they call “shorter guy shirts”, and recently added a line of jeans. The average man in America is 5′ 10″ and clothing lines are designed for taller men. The company found a niche creating a better product and fit.
