The United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce Foundation, in partnership with Wells Fargo and the University of Notre Dame Mendoza School of Business will host the first Chamber Training Institute of 2013 in Dallas, Texas on January 14 — 15 at the Adolphus hotel in downtown Dallas. The USHCC Foundation’s two-day nonprofit certificate program will address chamber membership growth, from retention and recruitment strategies to creating a ninety-day membership growth plan.

The USHCC Foundation Chamber Training Institute was created to help provide unique educational opportunities that would foster the growth and development of Hispanic business leaders and entrepreneurs. During the program, participants will be introduced to industry experts and professors who will share fundamental techniques for time management and membership growth. Attendees of the Dallas Chamber Training Institute include members from over a dozen chambers of commerce across the country.

“Wells Fargo is pleased to bring the USHCC Foundation Chamber Training Institute to Dallas-Fort Worth,” said District Manager Olga Lopez. “At Wells Fargo we are committed to helping business owners sustain and grow their business. We are thrilled to once again collaborate with the USHCC to provide local chamber leaders across the country with opportunities to sharpen their skills, enhance their leadership and better understand how to manage their finances more effectively.”

The training program features workshops such as “How to Clarify What You Really Want From Life and Work” and “Making the Case for Return on Membership Investment.” Participants who complete the program will receive a certificate in Membership Growth and Time Management from the University of Notre Dame Mendoza School of Business.

“We are fortunate that the Chamber Training Institute has received the support of our outstanding corporate partner, Wells Fargo, who helps us provide the critical education our chamber leaders need to run their organizations more effectively,” says Javier Palomarez, USHCC President & CEO. “The chamber leaders and non-profit managers who attend these courses are taught valuable skills that will help them to empower the business owners they support and bolster membership in their respective chambers.”
