Mendoza College ranked No. 2 in Poets & Quants inaugural undergraduate ranking

The University of Notre Dame’s Mendoza College of Business ranked No. 2 in the Poets & Quants “Best Undergraduate Business Programs of 2016” survey released today (December 5). The full ranking is posted on the Poets & Quants for Undergrads website.

 

This is the inaugural undergraduate program ranking for Poets & Quants, a news and resource website for prospective students that has published MBA program rankings for seven years.

 

P&Q ranked 50 U.S. undergraduate programs on three criteria: admissions standards that measure the quality of incoming students; employment data, including internships, full-time employment within 90 days after graduation and average compensation; and alumni perspective on the full educational experience, from the quality and accessibility of faculty, to opportunities for global immersions, to unique aspects of a program.

 

The top five schools were Washington University in St. Louis Olin Business School, University of Notre Dame Mendoza College of Business, University of Pennsylvania The Wharton School, Georgetown University McDonough School of Business and the University of California – Berkeley Haas School of Business.

 

Mendoza ranked No. 1 on the alumni survey, and was the only school to rank in the top 10 of all 12 core survey questions, earning scores of A+ in 11 of the 12 categories. The College ranked No. 5 for admissions standards and No. 13 for employment.

 

Students enter the Mendoza College of Business in their sophomore year. The program is designed to provide a well-rounded academic experience, with nearly half of the coursework taken in non-business subjects. The College currently offers five undergraduate majors in accountancy, finance, IT management, management consulting and marketing; as well as a minor in innovation and entrepreneurship. In fall 2017, Mendoza will launch an additional major in business analytics.
