The Notre Dame MBA program at the University of Notre Dame’s Mendoza College of Business ranked No. 25 in the nation in U.S. News & World Report’s just-released 2016 Best Graduate Business School survey.

In sub-rankings also published by the business magazine, Notre Dame Executive MBA ranked 15th, and the accountancy program ranked 14th.

U.S. News surveyed 464 master’s programs in business accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business; of the 385 responding, 126 provided the data needed to calculate rankings based on a weighted average of eight indicators.

The indicators included the publication’s survey of business school deans, MBA directors and corporate recruiters; starting salaries and bonuses; employment rates at and three months after graduation; and student selectivity as evidenced by GMAT scores, undergraduate GPAs and the percentage of applicants who are accepted by the school.

The Graduate School of Business at Stanford University took the No. 1 spot for top business schools, followed by Harvard Business School in second and the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania in third.

The Notre Dame MBA, which offers one- and two-year formats, is noted for its innovative teaching in the area of problem solving, and for its emphasis on personal and corporate ethics as well as social responsibility. The program features action-learning coursework and a global business focus, including international immersion opportunities in Asia and Latin America.

The program ranked No. 6 for “potential to network” among top business schools worldwide on The Economist’s 2013 “Which MBA?” survey, and ranked No. 29 among U.S. business schools in the Bloomberg Businessweek magazine’s biennial survey, “The Best U.S. Business Schools 2014.” For more information, visit mba.nd.edu.
