Ten Years Hence lecture series addresses “The Future of Work”

Seven experts from a range of industries will discuss “The Future of Work” for Ten Years Hence, a signature lecture series of the Mendoza College of Business at the University of Notre Dame.
Lecturers include executives from Target, IBM and GE, a workplace futurist and the CEO of a family owned international shipping conglomerate that grew from a handful of ships into a fleet of more than 70.
Ten Years Hence, an annual spring series, features experts from diverse fields and interests exploring the issues, ideas and trends likely to affect business and society in the next decade.
The talks take place from 10:40 a.m. to 12:10 p.m. on select Fridays and are held in the Jordan Auditorium at the Mendoza College. The lectures are free and open to the public.
The 2016 schedule follows:
February 5: Karie Willyerd, workplace futurist for Success Factors, an SAP subsidiary and cofounder of Jambok, a video-based social learning software platform
February 19: Viv Goldstein, director of innovation acceleration for GE and cofounder of FastWorks, a platform that applies entrepreneurial tools, processes and culture across GE
February 26: Elizabeth Heller Allen, senior vice president of external affairs for The MetroHealth System, a network of 17 health centers in northeast Ohio
March 18: Dustee Tucker Jenkins, senior vice president of communications at Target.
April 1: Richard Marshall, global managing director of the corporate affairs center of expertise at Korn Ferry
April 8: George Logothetis, chairman and CEO of the Libra Group, an international business group that started as a family shipping company
April 22: Bill Chamberlin, principal analyst for IBM corporate market research and member of IBM’s Academy of Technology
Ten Years Hence is sponsored by the O’Brien-Smith Leadership Program, which is made possible by an endowment from William H. O’Brien (ND ’40) and his wife, Dee. The program is named after their respective parents. The endowment provides an opportunity for students, faculty and members of the community to interact with distinguished leaders from business, government and nonprofit sectors.
