Published: May 4, 2015 / Author: Joshua Hall

Vennli received the Tech Services Award for IT to Support Go-to-Market during TechPoint’s 16th annual Mira Awards honoring the best of tech in Indiana. Vennli provides business strategy software that fuels company growth by revealing how to differentiate in a competitive market.

Vennli is a software-as-a-service platform that harnesses real-time customer insights — the factors customers weigh when making purchasing decisions — and transforms them into growth strategies upon which leaders can take immediate action. Founded in 2013, Vennli is based on a proven model developed by co-founder Joe Urbany from Notre Dame and the software expertise of cofounder Gary Gigot, formerly of Microsoft and Visio.

Vennli has a built-in electronic survey that makes customer research simple and fast compared to traditional methods, and presents the results in an intuitive way so businesses know exactly what to do to increase their competitive advantages.

The Mira Awards judges believe Vennli has a growth trajectory with no defined ceiling, which truly places them in a great position for rapid scale-up and significant sales growth. Vennli has definitely found a business development niche that is underserved and applied technology in innovative ways that provides research, visualization, and prescriptions for companies to grow their businesses.

Growing by figuring out “what matters” to customers is what every company strives for, but few get there because they are missing the critical customer factors and analysis. Vennli’s model is scalable across multiple markets and targeting the growing and data-hungry small- to mid-sized company categories.

TechPoint, Indiana’s tech ecosystem accelerator, honored 15 companies, entrepreneurs and educators on May 2, at the Mira Awards gala presented by BKD CPAs & Advisors. Mira — Latin for miracle and a variable star thousands of times brighter than the Earth’s sun — represents the best of tech in Indiana each year.

Forty-three independent, volunteer judges spent more than 700 collective hours reviewing and ranking the applications, interviewing the nominees and choosing the winners. Judges are primarily subject matter experts and experienced company founders and executives.
