Andres Ibañez is professor of Marketing at the School of Business, Pontificia Universidad Catolica de Chile. He is currently Associate Dean for International Affairs and Executive Education.
He holds a degree in Economics and Business Administration from Pontificia Universidad Catolica de Chile, an MBA from Kellogg Graduate School of Management, Northwestern University, USA and a SMP Harvard-Omnicom program. He received the Presidential Scholarship from Chile for graduate studies and the Shaffner Award as distinguished alumni from the Kellogg School.
From 1989 to the present, Andres Ibañez has been Professor of Marketing at PUC of Chile, School of Management, Santiago, Chile. He has been Dean of the Business School (until year 2012), MBA Director (for 10 years), Academic Dean (3 years). He has taught marketing courses for the last 27 years at PUC and has been invited to teach to different schools in Europe and Latin America.
Andres´ interest in teaching has been focused in Pricing Strategies, CRM and Customer Value, and Branding. He has also given courses in “Marketing in Latin America”. He has won several teaching awards given by the students both at undergraduate and MBA level.
He has been Board Member of the KAC (Kellogg Alumni Council), Former Chairperson of PIM (Partnership in International Management) and is part of the International Academic Council of Getulio Vargas School of Business, Brasil. He also seats in different boards of private companies.
