The University of Notre Dame MBA program has launched a new scholars program to support military-affiliated students, further strengthening the University’s longstanding commitment to active-duty service members, veterans and their families.

The Angrick Military Scholars Program will provide funding of $30,000 per year for up to 10 military students entering the full-time Notre Dame MBA program as of the 2026-27 academic year.

The program gives preference to eligible U.S. military veterans enrolling in the Notre Dame MBA program, with first consideration for candidates who have families. Each qualified scholar will receive $30,000 per year in wrap-around funding, which may be used to cover relocation, housing and childcare expenses. This funding is in addition to any merit-based or other financial awards the scholar may receive.

“The Angrick Military Scholars Program will help us attract outstanding military and veteran leaders whose experience and service align with the mission and values of our MBA program and the entire Notre Dame community,” said Martijn Cremers, the Martin J. Gillen Dean of the Mendoza College of Business, the home of the Notre Dame MBA. “With this gift, the Notre Dame MBA will provide the most comprehensive financial support available to assist families of exceptionally qualified military students.”

Candidates can apply for the Angrick Military Scholars Program through the Notre Dame MBA application process. Current students are not eligible for the program.

The Notre Dame MBA is a transformational two-year program that integrates personal, professional and ethical development to prepare business leaders with the vision, knowledge and skills essential for success in the global marketplace. Building on the University’s proud and enduring relationship with the U.S. military, the program empowers veterans to leverage their leadership experience, strengthen their academic and career foundations, and launch meaningful careers beyond military service.

Angrick Military Scholars will be selected based on their personal, academic and military service records, demonstrated leadership potential and alignment with the mission of Notre Dame. In addition to receiving funding, scholars will be invited to take part in a range of activities, including engagement with Notre Dame MBA cohorts and organizations such as the MBA Vets Club; leadership consulting opportunities; and community-building events such as a fall forum and spring fundraiser.

The program is funded through a generous $15 million gift from Notre Dame alumnus Bill Angrick and his wife Stephanie.

“We are humbled and delighted to help launch this new program and to see its impact grow over time,” said Bill Angrick, a member of the Business Advisory Council for the Mendoza College of Business who earned a bachelor’s degree in business from Notre Dame in 1990. “We look forward to helping Notre Dame attract outstanding military veteran leaders with high potential so that the University’s MBA program can prepare these leaders to make an even greater positive impact on society.”

The gift will also recognize one or more Angrick Scholars annually as Naticchia Fellows, named in honor of Marine Corps veteran Robert D. Naticchia, the late father of Stephanie (Naticchia) Angrick.

“The Angrick Military Scholars Program will enable veterans to share the lessons from their military service with the wider Notre Dame community while preparing them to lead with purpose in the private sector,” said Nick Berente, senior associate dean for academic programs at Mendoza College of Business. “We’re proud to grow our network of Notre Dame military alumni and to continue building a program that attracts military leaders defined by integrity, excellence and love of country.”For more information about the Notre Dame MBA and the Angrick Military Scholars Program, contact Claire Fitzgibbon, Senior Director of Graduate Enrollment, at mba.business@nd.edu.
