Ideal candidates are technical professionals who have managerial or leadership responsibilities, such as team leaders, senior engineers, or engineering managers, as well as any managers who do not have strong technical backgrounds but who now find themselves leading people with technical training and responsibilities.

What You’ll Learn
Designed specifically for engineers seeking to improve their management and leadership skills and capabilities, this hands-on program prepares you to face the many leadership challenges, such as constant change, incomplete information required for decision making, increasingly competitive markets, shortened lead times, and a tempo driven by technology.
During the 2 1/2-day program, you’ll focus on assessing your style and developing both individual and organizational skills and abilities to become an effective leader and manager.

The program is approved to award 15 PDH (Professional Development Hours) for Professional Engineers (P.E.) toward their continuing education requirement.

Registration for the Engineering Leadership program is open to all interested candidates, though we recommend registrants to have three+ years in a technical managerial background in order to enhance their experience in the course.

Upon the successful completion of this program, you will receive a document certifying that you completed the program. The document will not qualify as an academic credential, and you will not earn any academic credit from the University. Though you will be enrolled in the Executive Education Certificate Program, you will not be considered a student at the University, and completion of the program will not make you eligible for alumni status from the University of Notre Dame.
Cost to complete this course is $2,195 ($1,975 if your organization has sponsored participants in this program in the past), which includes all instruction, materials and meals.
