What You’ll Learn

Notre Dame’s MSBA is a one-year program designed for recent graduates who want to jump start their career in Big Data. This 31-credit hour program provides a master’s level understanding of business analytics and positions you to use data to inform complex business decisions.

Guided by a foundation in ethical decision making, you'll employ the latest in data visualization technology to demonstrate how to improve production cycles and prescribe strategic solutions based on historical data and predictive analytics.

Our collaborative learning environment includes case study group work, which enables you to leverage varying skill sets as you learn how data insights can be applied in real business situations. During the Spring semester, students will be grouped into teams and tasked with solving a real-world business issue for an organization. Working together, they will offer practical recommendations to address the specific problem.

The program culminates with a hands-on capstone project where you and your team will partner with a corporate sponsor on a real-world analytics project where you'll have the opportunity to put your knowledge and skills to work.

Student Life

Notre Dame’s Master of Science in Business Analytics is a one-year program designed for recent graduates who want to jump start their career in Big Data. There are two 7-week modules per semester and a 1-week interterm. In between, you’ll be a true part of the Notre Dame family. From football games and concerts to world-class speakers and community service, your life will extend far beyond the classroom.

As a Notre Dame MSBA student, you can:

  • Participate in a variety of business clubs and honor societies, such as Beta Alpha Psi or the Business Analytics Club of Notre Dame.
  • Provide community-based learning, research or service through the Center for Social Concerns.
  • Attend a Notre Dame Graduate Alumni tailgate and mix with alumni, professors and recruiters in a casual setting, then watch the game from the graduate student section at Notre Dame Stadium.

Women in the MSBA program have additional resources available to them, including:

  • ND Women Connect, an alumni group with more than 20 chapters throughout the world

Most MSBA students have strong business or quantitative backgrounds. They all have completed the following prerequisite coursework:

Tuition & Aid

Tuition for the 2023-2024 MS in Business Analytics program is $60,734.

Merit-based scholarships are available to all qualified candidates, regardless of citizenship. These are determined by the Admissions Committee at the same time your application is being evaluated. To apply for a scholarship, please complete the scholarship section within the application.
