Dr. Stephannie Larocque is the Notre Dame Associate Professor of Accountancy and the EY Faculty Fellow at the Mendoza College of Business. Professor Larocque is a graduate of the University of Western Ontario (B.A. Hon.) and the University of Toronto (Ph.D.) as well as a CFA charterholder. A former equity research analyst, Dr. Larocque's research now encompasses empirical capital markets including analysts' forecasts, private equity funds, and cost of equity capital estimation. Her research has been published in journals including The Accounting Review, Journal of Financial Economics, Review of Accounting Studies, Contemporary Accounting Research, Journal of Financial Reporting, and Journal of Investment Management. She is a member of the Editorial Board for Contemporary Accounting Research, and was recently elected as Incoming President of the Financial Accounting and Reporting Section (FARS) of the American Accounting Association. Professor Larocque teaches Evaluating Financial Performance (EMBA 60601) and Introductory Financial Accounting (ACCT 20100), and previously taught Data Analytics in Accounting (ACCT 30280) and in the Girls Who Invest summer program. She is a 2018 recipient of the Rev. Edmund P. Joyce, C.S.C., Award for Excellence in Undergraduate Teaching.
