Adam Wowak is an Associate Professor of Management in the Mendoza College of Business. He received his Ph.D., as well as his bachelor's degree, from the Pennsylvania State University. Prior to entering academia, he worked in investment banking.
Adam's research focuses on strategic leadership and corporate governance, with an emphasis on top executives and their effects on organizational outcomes. His work has appeared or is forthcoming in journals such as Administrative Science Quarterly, Academy of Management Review, Academy of Management Journal, Strategic Management Journal, Organization Science, and Academy of Management Annals. His research has also been profiled in a wide range of media outlets, including The Atlantic, Financial Times, Forbes, NBC News, The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, and others. Adam is on the editorial boards of Academy of Management Journal and Strategic Management Journal, and currently serves as a representative-at-large for the Strategic Leadership & Governance interest group of the Strategic Management Society. He is also an award-winning teacher of MBA and undergraduate courses in strategic management.
