Adam Wowak is an Associate Professor of Management in the Mendoza College of Business. He received his Ph.D., as well as his bachelor's degree, from the Pennsylvania State University. Prior to entering academia, he worked in investment banking.
Adam's research focuses on strategic leadership and corporate governance, with an emphasis on top executives and their effects on organizational outcomes. His work has appeared in all of the top-tier journals in his field, including Administrative Science Quarterly, Academy of Management Review, Academy of Management Journal, Strategic Management Journal, and Organization Science. His research has also been widely profiled in media outlets such as The Atlantic, Financial Times, Forbes, NBC News, The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, and others. Adam serves on the editorial boards of Academy of Management Journal and Strategic Management Journal, both of which have recognized him with reviewing awards. He is also an award-winning teacher of MBA and undergraduate courses in strategic management.
