Dale Nees is the assistant dean for Undergraduate Studies. He joined Mendoza in June 2011 and is responsible for the academic advising and administration of the College’s undergraduate program. He serves as the dean’s designee for all undergraduate academic matters. Prior to joining Mendoza, he spent four years as the professor of Naval Science and commanding officer of the Naval ROTC Unit at the University of Notre Dame where he taught Leadership and Ethics.
Nees also served on active duty for 32 years before retiring as a Navy captain with extensive operational leadership and financial management experience in the Department of the Navy and Department of Defense. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree from the United States Naval Academy, a Master of Science degree in Management (Financial and Material Logistics) at the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, CA. and a Master of Science degree in National Resource Strategy from the National Defense University’s Industrial College of the Armed Forces, in Washington, D.C.
