Xiaojing Duan is an Assistant Teaching Professor of IT, Analytics and Operations. She teaches both graduate and undergraduate courses including Python for Data Analytics, Foundations of Coding, and Data Exploration and Visualization. Prior to joining Mendoza as full-time faculty, Xiaojing served as the Learning Analytics Architect in the University’s Office of Information Technologies. In that role, she led the implementation of a cloud-based infrastructure to collect data from multiple sources, performed data analysis to draw actionable insights on the improvement of student learning outcomes, and developed intuitive visualization dashboards to communicate those insights with different stakeholders. Xiaojing has over 10 years of experience in researching and developing innovative technology solutions for the purpose of enhancing teaching and learning experiences. Xiaojing holds Master’s degrees in both Instructional Technology and Computer Science.
