  • Biography

Amy Shrout has long enjoyed teaching micro- and macroeconomics to undergraduates. She has served in a leadership capacity at the Advanced Placement Reading for the exam in Microeconomics and has penned questions for the multiple choice section of the exam. Amy contributed to several popular economics textbooks, authoring online test banks and providing accuracy checks. Early in her professional life, Amy served at the US Embassy in Bern, Switzerland. During a recent residency with her family in Marburg, Germany, she was inspired to engage in freelance translating and, when time allows, entertains German-to-English translating projects. In 2018-19, Amy was pleased to work with first-year students as an academic advisor at Notre Dame.
