Joe is an Assistant Teaching Professor of IT, Analytics, and Operations at the Mendoza College of Business, University of Notre Dame. He is passionate about teaching analytics to business students and has delivered various courses on Machine Learning, Statistics, and Econometrics at the MS, MBA, and PhD levels. His interests lie at the intersection of Data Mining and Causal Inference, focusing on interpreting unstructured data to address interesting business challenges. He is particularly interested in how consumers react to emerging technology shocks and the subsequent impact on businesses, exploring topics such as social media, healthcare analytics, and data privacy. Before joining Notre Dame, he worked as a data scientist and cloud storage engineer.
