Mike Favorite is an Associate Teaching Professor of Accountancy. He has seven years of professional experience in public accounting (audit, tax, and consulting) and thirty years in varying administrative roles at Notre Dame. Mike's Notre Dame experience includes Audit & Advisory Services, Office of Information Technology consulting, the University's comprehensive Year 2000 Compliance effort, and the Office of the Controller. Prior to joining the Mendoza faculty full-time in Fall 2023, Mike taught in the College as a Concurrent faculty member for 24 years. His main teaching focus is undergraduate financial and managerial accounting.
Mike received his BBA in Accountancy from the University of Notre Dame, where he played varsity football and was a National Football Foundation and Hall of Fame Scholar-Athlete Award recipient. He received his MBA from the University of Texas at Austin.
Mike and his wife Maureen (also a Notre Dame graduate) have four children, all of whom attended Notre Dame.
