Pedro Garcia Ares
- Biography
Pedro Garcia-Ares is a visiting assistant professor of finance at the University of Notre Dame, on leave from ITAM University in Mexico City. His research focuses on the study of information flows between the stock and the derivatives market and on the analysis of investor's risk-taking and skewness seeking behavior. His academic work has been published in top academic journals such as the Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis and Management Science, and it has been presented at global academic conferences, such as the American Finance Association and the European Finance Association. Pedro also has professional experience in the areas of investment banking, risk analysis and capital markets. He worked in London as a capital market analyst for Morgan Stanley; and he collaborated with Moody's Analytics in the design and implementation of credit risk models. Pedro has recently been awarded with the Options Institute Grant by the Chicago Board of Options.
