Scholarships
Notre Dame’s Master of Science in Accountancy (MSA) program partners closely with leading accounting firms to help make a top-ranked graduate education more accessible.
Among these partnerships, Deloitte, KPMG, and Ernst & Young each sponsor a Fellowship—a prestigious award that provides both financial support and professional development opportunities. Recipients of these Fellowships receive:
- Tuition support to reduce the cost of graduate study
- One-on-one mentorship from a practicing professional, offering guidance on adjusting to the MSA program, preparing for recruitment, and launching a career in accounting
All applicants are automatically considered for these fellowships during the admissions process, and recipients are notified at the time of admission.
Beyond the Deloitte, KPMG, and Ernst & Young Fellowships, the MSA program provides additional layers of financial support:
- Accounting Department Scholarships – competitive awards funded by the department for outstanding students.
- Mendoza Scholarships – awards granted by the college through a holistic review of each application.
Together, the MSA scholarship opportunities reflect Notre Dame’s commitment to investing in students’ success both academically and professionally.
Military & Veterans
The University of Notre Dame assists veterans and their families by offering its support regarding the use of Veteran Affairs (VA) benefits. Visit the Office of the Registrar, the Office of Military and Veteran Affairs, and the Office of Financial Aid pages for details and key points of contact for any questions you have regarding your benefits as a military veteran student.

For some veterans, Veterans Readiness and Employment is a better fit than is the G.I. Bill for their education financing needs. To learn more, visit the Veterans Affairs VR&E website.

Loans & Other Resources
Federal Direct Unsubsidized Loan
U.S. applicants may be eligible for a non-need-based Federal Direct Unsubsidized Loan, which will be included in your financial aid offer after reviewing your FAFSA. These loans require repayment with interest, beginning six months after you cease to be enrolled at least half-time.
Federal Direct PLUS Loan
U.S. applicants may also qualify for a Federal Direct PLUS loan, which provides borrowing in excess of your Federal Direct Unsubsidized Loan. Applicants must complete the FAFSA and determine Federal Direct Loan eligibility prior to applying for a PLUS Loan.
After exploring all federal aid options, applicants may consider private loan opportunities to further support their educational expenses. Private loans can help bridge the gap between federal aid and the total cost of attendance. International students are also eligible for private loans, often with a U.S. co-signer.
As a Notre Dame graduate student, you may be eligible to seek an assistantship agreement arranged with your academic department. Earnings from part-time work are intended to help you pay for personal and other related educational expenses and do not affect your financial aid.
