Be A Better Leader
Our mission is to prepare students to manage people and processes in both large and small organizations, to identify and address business challenges and to serve as business managers, innovators, and consultants. We provide teaching and research in areas that are critical to business leadership that is centered on moral decision making, organizational effectiveness and impacting society for the better.
Doing Business Right
Conduct research or attend a guest lecture through the Notre Dame Deloitte Center for Ethical Leadership, which strives to understand how ethical behavior is generated in work contexts. By connecting academic and business thought leaders to explore character ethics, we create and disseminate content that is forward-looking, pragmatic, and provocative.
Change The World
Engage with the IDEA Center at Innovation Park, where aspiring entrepreneurs, faculty, students and industry experts collaborate. It is designed to bring the best Notre Dame faculty, staff and student ideas and innovations to market.

What You’ll Learn
Choose your path to a greater understanding of management
Major in Management and Organization, minor in Innovation and Entrepreneurship or, if you’re an MBA student, choose from concentrations in Consulting, Strategic Leadership or Innovation and Entrepreneurship.
Through courses like International Management, Strategic IT and Innovation and Design Thinking, you’ll develop the ability to understand how and why organizations change, how employees and the market react to the change, and where to look for strategic opportunities for growth.

Department Administration
Ann Tenbrunsel
Department Chair
Ann E. Tenbrunsel (Ph.D., Northwestern University; M.B.A. Northwestern University; B.S.I.O.E. University of Michigan) is the David E. Gallo Professor of Business Ethics in the College of Business Administration at the University of Notre Dame. Her research interests focus on the psychology of ethical decision making, examining why employees, leaders and students behave unethically, despite their best intentions to behave to the contrary. Ann is the author, co-author, or co-editor of six books on this topic—including Blind Spots, Behavioral Ethics: Shaping an Emerging Field , Codes of Conduct: Behavioral Research into Business Ethics—and many research articles and chapters. Her research has been featured in interviews airing on MSNBC and National Public Radio, and adaptations, excerptions and references to her work have appeared in a variety of publications, including the New York Times, US News and World Report, AP, The Chronicle of Higher Education, Forbes and Harvard Business Review, and in blogs for Psychology Today and Freakonomics. Ann has presented to and consulted with a variety of companies and institutions including Ernst & Young, The Federal Reserve Bank of New York, The United Nations, Wells Fargo, Weber Shandwick, The Walsh Group, Prudential, The National Association of Broadcasters, Bayer, Deloitte, and PG&E.
Ann teaches at the executive, MBA, and undergraduate levels. Prior to entering academics, Ann worked as an engineer for S.C. Johnson & Son and a sales and marketing consultant for ZS Associates.

Jennifer Cronin
Assistant Department Chair
Jennifer Cronin is an Associate Teaching Professor and Assistant Department Chair in the Management & Organization Department of the Mendoza College of Business at the University of Notre Dame. A recipient of the 2020 Faculty Service Award, she teaches courses at the graduate and undergraduate level across many academic departments ranging from campaign development, branding, and social media strategy, to visual design and narrative presentation of data. She is a part of the Fanning Center for Business Communication and coaches hundreds of graduate students and executive level industry professionals on the necessary skills required to pitch an innovative business idea to a network of investors, particularly when complex data is involved. Outside of the classroom, Jen serves as the faculty advisor to the Undergraduate Women in Business Club and on various committees that focus on curriculum offerings, program accreditation, and teaching excellence for the department and college. Prior to teaching, she worked in public relations for the International SPA Association, with some of the world’s top spas as clients. Her eclectic academic background and industry experience afford her students and clients a number of real-world examples and case studies from varied perspectives. Jen obtained her Ph.D. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, her Master’s degree from the University of Kentucky, and Bachelors from Georgetown College.
