Foundations of Business Minor
What You’ll Learn
For students in the College of Arts & Letters, the College of Science, and the Keough School of Global Affairs looking to complement their Majors
The Minor in Foundations of Business complements non-business students’ primary fields of study by offering exposure to key foundational principles across all business disciplines. Courses available to enrolled students introduce them to the philosophy of business as a force for good in human flourishing, the creation of businesses and other ventures in entrepreneurship, business ethics and business law, as well as the fundamentals of accounting, operations, strategy, leadership, marketing and finance.
As of the spring 2024 semester, students from the Colleges of Arts and Letters, Science, and the Keough School may enroll in the Foundations of Business Minor. Students must take at least 15 credit-hours to complete the minor, and are free to choose from any of the following courses to complete the credit-hour requirements:
- Why Business? (3 credit hours)
- Introduction to Entrepreneurship (3 credit hours)
- Business Law Concepts (3 credit hours)
