Karpowicz named vice president for Wendy’s International, Inc.

Joe Karpowicz was recently named Vice President for Wendy’s International, Inc. He is also an Assistant General Counsel.

Karpowicz manages all of the litigation in which Wendy’s International is involved and he provides legal counsel on high profile issues involving the company. He prepares and supervises the company’s response to lawsuits and claims and works with outside counsel in their representation of the company.

He joined Wendy’s Legal Department in April 1986 as a real estate Staff Attorney and was promoted to Assistant General Counsel with responsibility for litigation in 1992. Prior to joining the company, he was in private practice with the Columbus law firm of Brownfield, Kosydar, Bowen, Bally & Sturtz.

A Columbus native, Karpowicz attended Bishop Hartley High School, has a Bachelors degree in Business Administration from The University of Notre Dame, and received his Juris Doctor from The Ohio State University College of Law in 1981. He is a member of the Ohio State Bar Association, and resides in Hilliard with his family.
