Arnstein & Lehr Welcomes Edward J. O’Connell as COO

The Chicago law firm of Arnstein & Lehr LLP is pleased to announce that Edward J. O’Connell has joined the firm as its chief operating officer. 

Mr. O’Connell has extensive experience in law firm management and private industry. He began his career with the accounting firm of Price Waterhouse Coopers LLP before moving on to Union Special Corporation, an international manufacturer of industrial sewing equipment, where he served in several financial capacities, including as its chief financial officer. He also served as senior vice president, finance, chief financial officer and treasurer of Genderm Corporation, a pharmaceutical manufacturer and both Delphi Information Systems and Hey Company LLC, two e-commerce businesses. 

His law firm experience includes serving as chief financial officer for Hinshaw & Culbertson LLP, managing director of Gardner, Carton & Douglas LLP, and chief operating officer of Keck, Mahin & Cate.

Mr. O’Connell has experience in professional services, manufacturing, pharmaceutical and technology organizations. He also worked for seven years as a CPA auditing public and private companies.

Licensed in Illinois as a certified public accountant, he received his accounting degree from the University of Notre Dame.
