Published: March 1, 2013 / Author: Mendoza College

Roger Huang, who has served as interim dean of the Mendoza College of Business at the University of Notre Dame since January 2011, has had the interim label removed from his title and is now the permanent dean of the college, Notre Dame officials announced today.

Huang was appointed interim dean when Carolyn Woo left at the end of 2010 to become president and chief executive officer of Catholic Relief Services.

“Roger is an internationally respected scholar who during his time at Notre Dame has proved to be an equally accomplished leader,” the Rev. John I. Jenkins, Notre Dame’s president, said in a written statement. “His reputation in his field, administrative experience, strategic perspective and commitment to Notre Dame’s mission as a Catholic research university are extraordinary. I look forward to working closely with him as we continue to build a superb business school that serves the greater good.”
