Martin Marietta Materials, Inc announces new mideast organization structure

Martin Marietta Materials, Inc. (NYSE:MLM), today announced the realignment of its Mideast and
Southeast United States aggregates operations into four operating divisions under the leadership of Dan Shephard (48), Executive Vice President in the Mideast, and Phil Sipling (59), Executive Vice President in the Southeast. The change in organizational structure is designed to take advantage of growth opportunities throughout the region. Shephard and Sipling report to Ward Nye, President and Chief Operating Officer. The Company also announced the appointment of Presidents over the operating divisions.

John Tiberi (42) has been named President of the new Mideast Division. In this new role, he will be responsible for operations in Indiana, Ohio, Northern Kentucky, Maryland, West Virginia and Virginia. Tiberi has 20 years of industry experience and joined Martin Marietta in 2002. He served most recently as Regional Vice President/General Manager of the MidAmerica Region, consisting of the Company’s operations in Indiana and Southwest Ohio. Tiberi holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the University of Notre Dame and a Master of Business Administration degree from Drucker Graduate School of Management at the Claremont Graduate University.
