ND MBA program ranked 26th

SOUTH BEND — The Mendoza College of Business MBA program at the University of Notre
Dame is ranked 26th in BusinessWeek magazine’s new biennial survey of the top U.S.
business schools.

The rankings will be included in the Oct. 23 edition.

The new survey marked the third straight time that Notre Dame’s master’s of business
administration program has been ranked among the top 30 business schools. The program
was rated 29th in the 2002 survey and 24th in 2004.

The Notre Dame MBA program was cited among the top 10 schools for fastest return on
investment, which refers to how many years it takes for graduates to recoup their financial
investment in earning an MBA degree.

The University of Chicago was ranked first by the magazine. The rankings’ methodology involved surveying MBA graduates and corporate recruiters as well as evaluating the
intellectual capital of business school faculty.In other rankings news, the Mendoza MBA
program was highly ranked in the Economist Intelligence Unit’s ranking of the world’s top
100 full-time MBA programs, results of which also were released this month.

Notre Dame’s MBA program was ranked 32nd among worldwide programs and achieved a
ranking of 20th among business schools in the United States. The program was designated
as the top U.S. program in the category “Potential to Network.”

The Economist Intelligence Unit rankings, which are based on numerical data and surveys
of MBA students and alumni, are published in the annual guide, “Which MBA?” due out later
this month.
