Notre Dame Reunion 2013 is less than one month away, and it promises to be a
tremendous weekend on campus. As a part of the May 30-June 2 event, graduate business
alumni will have dinner in the former home of the College of Business, Hurley
Hall; enjoy a wine tasting and discussion of sustainability in the wine
industry at Jordan Auditorium; and experience the Stayer Center, the new home
of Executive Education as part of the College of Business Open House.
In addition to these events, the Alumni Association is hosting
a panel discussion, titled “Navigating Your Financial Future,” on Saturday,
June 1 at the DeBartolo Performing Arts Center. This event is co-sponsored by “Love Thee Notre Dame”, a gift planning initiative. Notre Dame Executive Vice
President John Affleck-Graves will be hosting the discussion of how financial
markets and other factors may impact individuals’ investments in the future. A
panel of experts will explore the current economic outlook, including the
global markets, the U.S. economy, short- and long-term trends, inflationary
risks, debt outlook and other relevant topics.
Scott Malpass, a 1984 undergraduate alum and 1986 MBA alum,
will take part and will provide his own unique outlook gained from his role as chief
investment officer for Notre Dame. The panel will be moderated by Jack Brennan, Chairman Emeritus at Vanguard and a University of Notre Dame trustee. The panel will also include Ann Combs ’78, Principal at Vanguard and James Dunne III ’78, Senior Managing Principal, Sandler O’Neill + Partners, L.P. and a University of Notre Dame Trustee. We hope you can join for this exciting event
over Reunion!
