The board of directors of Summit Community Bank recently announced the promotions of Jack Nimphie, Chris Nugent and Wayne Weaver to the level of SVP. Each executive is a founder of the bank, and has served as a VP since the bank’s inception in 2003.

“It is a great honor for me to announce these promotions,” said John Abbott, president/CEO of Summit Community Bank. “I have worked with these men for many years now and they are truly experts in their fields and the backbone of this bank.”

Wayne Weaver, SVP and CFO, graduated from Notre Dame and has lived in the Lansing area for three decades. Weaver launched his banking career with Community First Bank in Lansing, where he was named SVP of corporate planning and then moved through nearly every facet of bank operations.

Summit Community Bank is a full service financial institution with offices in East Lansing and Okemos. Providence Mortgage Co., a division of Summit Community Bank, is located in Lansing. The bank was formed over six years ago by local business leaders with an emphasis on the customer and the community.
