    Notre Dame’s Muffet McGraw is right: We have a long way to go to gender equality.

    Management and organization associate teaching professor Joseph Holt wrote an article published in the Chicago Tribune about women's basketball coach Muffet McGraw's recent speech about gender inequality in sports and society in general. McGraw will no longer hire male assistant coaches. “All these millions of girls that play sports across the country, we're teaching them great things about life skills, but wouldn't it be great if we could teach them to watch how women lead?" said McGraw.

    New minor emphasizes interdisciplinary aspect of real estate

    The Fitzgerald Institute for Real Estate recently launched an interdisciplinary minor in real estate, which is open to all undergraduate students. “The minor is 15 credits, with an introductory course, three electives of three credits each in a variety of different areas … and the last three credits of the minor are these industry engaging colloquia,” Eugenio Acosta, program director of the Institute for Real Estate, said.

    The seven-day IDEA Week festival was founded by the University of Notre Dame as a way to celebrate entrepreneurship and innovation in the South Bend-Elkhart region. This year's 60 different sessions will include more than 110 different speakers and panelists.

    ND student startup to compete in elite Rice Business Plan

    An Innovation Park-startup founded by four University of Notre Dame undergraduate students was selected to compete in the 19th annual Rice Business Plan Competition (RBPC), considered the world’s richest and largest student startup competitions. The event, set for April 4-6, features 42 teams from some of the world’s top universities vying for more than $1.5 million in prizes.

    Four new minors intended to expand access to business education

    To broaden the access to undergraduate business education at the University of Notre Dame, the leadership of the Mendoza College of Business is launching four new minors for the 2019-2020 academic year. Two are intended for non-business majors and two can be taken by any Notre Dame undergraduate, including business majors.

    Notre Dame graduate business students take top prizes in case-writing competition

    Two teams of University of Notre Dame graduate business students took top prizes in the Arthur W. Page Society Case-Writing Competition in Corporate Communications, an event judged by some of the top communication officers and academics. The annual competition is designed to promote the practical applications of corporate communications as a critical management function. Participants submit a case study of an event that had implication for the organization’s public relations, particularly in the area of reputation management.
